Bebeji Local Government Council in Kano has pledged to reward any polio immunisation staff of the area that displays extra commitment to duty.
Alhaji Idris Doguwa, Chairman of the council, made the pledge on Monday in Bebeji, Kano State, while monitoring polio immunisation in the area.
He said that the measure was part of the initiatives to boost the morale of those involved in the exercise.
He called on parents to ensure that they immunised their children to avoid the re-emergence of fresh wild polio virus.
Also speaking, the Co-coordinator of Primary Health Care in the area, Malam Yusuf Bawa, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise.
He said that the council would not relent in its efforts at kicking polio virus out of the area
