The Court of Appeal in Abuja will, today, October 30, 2015, deliver judgment on the validity or otherwise of Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
Saraki is being tried by the tribunal after being accused of asset declaration fraud by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
The
Appeal Court had
been expected to rule on the matter on October 19 but
on that date, it announced that the case had been adjourned
indefinitely.
This led to a subsequent postponement of Saraki’s CCT trial from October 21 to November 5.
The Senate President, through his lawyer Joseph Daudu (SAN), is urging the court to set aside the case against him.
