An official menu card from the 2011 royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is up for auction with starting bid at £650.
The menu was used for the exclusive dinner where only
300 wedding guests were invited, though 1,900 people attended the
ceremony.
The
lavish dinner - a three-course meal, began with South Uist salmon, Lyme
Bay crab and wild Hebridean langoustines along with fresh herb salad.
The first course included a 2009 Meursault, Domaine Guyot-Javillier
wine. The main course featured Saddle of North Highland Mey Select
organic lamb, Highgrove spring vegetables, English asparagus, Jersey
Royal potatoes, and sauce Windsor.
It was served with a 2004 L'Hospitalet de Gazin, Pomerol wine. Desert
was a trio of Berkshire honey ice cream (the Duchess's home county),
sherry trifle and chocolate parfait and came with Laurent Perrier Rose
Champagne.
The auction is organised by Nate D. Sanders Auctions and will hold on October 29.
