President Muhammadu Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari will, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, leave Abuja for an official visit to India. This was disclosed via a statement released by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina. The
president is set to participate in the 3rd Summit of the India-Africa
Forum which will hold in New Delhi and is aimed at boosting
socio-economic development in Africa and India.
The summit will also be attended by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and other Heads of State and Governments.
Buhari is expected to hold bilateral talks with Prime
Minister Modi and other senior Indian government officials on
Wednesday, before the commencement of the summit on Thursday.
He
will also meet with Chief Executive Officers of Indian companies with
existing or prospective interests in Nigeria before returning to Abuja
on October 30.
