Davido and Olamide on set of 'The Money'.
(Twenty 20)
Davido has shot the music video for his next single titled ‘The Money’.
The video was shot in London by Sesan Ogunro. The song, featuring YBNL’s Olamide is off his forthcoming sophomore album titled “Baddest”.
Davido had earlier revealed why his much-anticipated sophomore album has not been released.
The
singer had on numerous occasions announced the release of the LP, but
came up with vague cancellations as the proposed date drew near. The
latest of these came this month, with a planned release on October 10,
failing to be activated.
Davido has explained the reason behind the delay,
citing the interest of a ‘big corporation’ with distribution interests
as responsible for the delay.
“The album is
done, everything, but funny enough, two days before we were about to
drop the album, we got a call from a very big corporation that wants to
be involved in the album distribution, that’s why we pulled back.” Davido told Pulse.
“There’s
no point doing things the same. If you are going to do it big, there’s
no point doing it at all. That’s why I chilled back, and I want to let
the big corporations do their work. But the album is coming.” He further said.
