Two female suicide bombers on Saturday, October 17, reportedly
killed 12 people in Dar village in Madagali Local Government Area of
Adamawa State.
According to an eyewitness, who confirmed the attack,the bombs were
detonated by two female suicide bombers in the early hours of Saturday,
adding that the ages of the bombers could not be determined.
However, another source said he saw a large number of gunmen invading the village, forcing residents to flee to a nearby bush.
He said, two female suicide bombers disguised as fleeing villagers
detonated the explosives in the bush where many people were hiding,
killing 12 persons.
He added that many victims who sustained injuries were evacuated to the hospital by the police.
The spokesperson of the Adamawa Police Command, Othman Abubakar, a
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), confirmed the attack, saying 12
people were killed in the blasts that rocked the village.
At least 5 people were confirmed dead two weeks ago after 2 female suicide bombers attacked a mosque along Ajilanri cross in Maiduguri, Borno state.
