The duo were arraigned a month ago for stealing a Nokia phone with N7, 000 and another N13, 000 cash; property of Semiu Musa.
The presiding magistrate,
Mrs. A.O. Gbajumo admitted them to bail in the sum of N40, 000 each with two sureties in like sum, as the matter was slated for mention on Monday.

But the suspects were not physically in court. A bench warrant was ordered against them.
As they were docked, both pleaded for mercy saying that they actually came to the court late.
Mrs Gbajumo said: “You did not leave early enough. I know there is traffic in Lagos: But if they ask you to come to American Embassy for Visa at 5:am, I know you will get there 4:am.”
Both Oladimeji and Sodiq who reside at Ketu, Lagos, promised to attend court promptly henceforth.The presiding magistrate warned them to respect the court or face the consequences. She then cancelled the bench warrant and allowed the teenagers to go home and not jail.
