Abia Warriors have fired their coach, Ladan Bosso.
The club’s management are not happy with their 10th place finish in the just concluded 2014/2015 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. As a result, it was decided at a board meeting over the weekend, that a change was needed and Bosso’s contract will not be renewed.
“We finished sixth on the log during the 2013/2014 season but during the concluded 2014/2015 season, we found ourselves in the 10th position on the final log,” an Abia Warriors official told Complete Sports.
“Does that show we are moving forward or backwards?”
When contacted, Bosso, however, denied he was sacked and claimed that he left his role at the Umuahia club.
“I’ve not received any correspondence from Abia Warriors terminating my appointment,” the former Flying Eagles coach said.
