State chairman of the party, Chief Dan Orbih, who addressed journalists in Benin while reacting to the self adulation of the governor on his performance, said that available records showed that N928 billion accrued to the state in the past seven years but only N268 billion could be accounted for in terms of projects execution and payment of salaries.
He called on Oshiomhole to return the balance N660 billion unaccounted for to the state coffers, even as he advised the governor to return the sum of N42 billion he allegedly collected to address “serious security challenges.”
Orbih scored Oshiomhole’s administration zero in the areas of sports development, human capital development, youth employment, security amongst others.
The PDP state chairman who said that it was ridiculous for Oshiomhole to trace his failings to his predecessor, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, alleged that the Edo State Government planned to recruit thousands of youths ahead of next year’s governorship election only to sack them after the election.
“I call on the governor to take full responsibility for his failure in government. Edo people will not accept latter day’s excuses of why he has not performed.
“We are curious to know what he has used N660 billon for. Apart from occasional Greek gifts of SUVs and cash to political travellers, there is nothing the governor has done with the money. It is a serious matter,” he said.
