Reports say the EFCC has finalised plans to arraign Gabriel Suswam in court today, Tuesday, November 4, 2015.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) slammed the former Governor with a
nine count charge, in relation to the allegations of money laundering.
Vanguard Newspapers reports that the arraignment is in connection with the alleged N3.1bn diverted by Suswam and his former finance commissioner, Omodachi Okolobia.
An EFCC source who spoke to Vanguard, said
"Barring
any last minute hitch, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
EFCC, will formally arraign the former governor of Benue State,Gabriel
Suswam before an Abuja Court tomorrow, November 4, 2014.
“The
anti-graft agency had on Monday, October 2, 2015 filed a nine-count
charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of N3.1 billion at a
Federal High Court, Abuja.”
