Kemi 'Lala' Akindoju, Joke Silva, Kate Henshaw to star in stage play against violence

“A Past Came Calling" preaches the central message that violence, including sexual violence, against women and girls, is a grave and pervasive violation of women’s human rights.

To mark this year’s International day for the elimination of violence against women, Simi Johnson Organisation in collaboration with Mainevents and  Campaigns Limited, are set to present a stage play titled "A Past Came Calling."

Starring veteran Joke Silva, the talented Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju,Kate Henshaw among others, the stage play is written by Uche MacAuley, and directed by Solomon Mac-Auley.
Scheduled to hold on November 27 and 28, the drama which will be staged at the Agip Hall of the Muson Centre, Lagos, and will have two shows on each day.
 
“A Past Came Calling", has the central message that violence, including sexual violence, against women and girls, is a grave and pervasive violation of women’s human rights.
The upcoming play delves into many topical issues relating to gender based violence, which affects everyone across the globe.
It aims to inform, correct and no doubt, entertain.
Akindoju, Silva and Henshaw recently featured in a stage drama "The Wives."
