The CCT however adjourned the case till today to allow the Court of Appeal make its ruling on the matter after Saraki approached the court to challenge the tribunal's jurisdiction to try him.
The Appeal Court subsequently ruled in favour of the tribunal hence the Senate President’s trial is expected to continue.

Meanwhile, Saraki has also approached the Supreme Court to halt the trial.

The CCB is accusing the Senate President of anticipatory declaration of assets and failure to declare assets acquired while he was governor of Kwara State among others.
