The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is reported to have arrested a top staff who worked with the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), over the arms contract scandal.
Also reported to have been arrested are 20 other staff members that worked with the ex NSA.
It was recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had on November 17 directed the relevant organisations to arrest and prosecute all individuals who were found complicit in the illegal and fraudulent acts relating to arms purchase during the past administration.
This followed the submission of the interim report of the committee constituted to investigate the procurement of military hardware since 2007 to date.
