Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has urged electorate in Kogi to vote en masse for Alhaji Abubakar Audu in the governorship election holding in the State on Nov. 21.
Osinbajo,
who made the appeal in Okene on Tuesday during a rally of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), said Audu had what it takes to take the
state to the next level.
The vice president said
the governorship candidate’s vast experience and connections within and
outside the country puts him far ahead of other candidates, saying that
Audu remained the man to beat.
He said the present
administration was determined to take the country to the next level, in
spite of the numerous challenges, urging the people to key in.
The
vice president, who had visited Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ado
Ibrahim commended the people of Kogi for voting President Muhammadu
Buhari and other APC candidates during the last general elections and
urged them to repeat the same on Nov. 21.
“A vote for APC is a vote for positive development," Oshibajo said, and advised the electorate not to commit political suicide by voting PDP.
The
governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello and his Edo State
counterpart, Adams Oshiomhole, called on the people to embrace change
and rapid progress by voting Audu in the coming governorship election.
Present at the rally were the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun among other dignitaries.
