Iran calls for apology over U.S. Naval 'encroachment'

ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 3, 2015) Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.7's Riverine Command Boats (RCB) 802 and 805 participate in a bi-lateral exercise with Kuwait naval forces in the Arabian Gulf. The combined-joint exercise provided U.S. forces, which also included U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Army, an opportunity to exchange tactics and best practices with Kuwait naval forces. CTG 56.7 conducts maritime security operations to ensure freedom of movement for strategic shipping and naval vessels operating in the inshore and coastal areas of the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
The 10 American sailors being held in Iran are "likely to be released soon," the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps said, according to Iranian state-run media.

"The evidence suggests that they unintentionally entered the Iranian waters because of the failure of their navigational system," IRGC spokesman Ramazan Sharif said on Press TV.
