The 2015 Headies saw Ycee winning his first award since his re-entry into the Nigerian music scene. The ceremony took place in Lagos, Nigeria on January 1, 2015.
“I can’t even believe it myself, I’m shaking right now. This is the first award I’m receiving ever”, he disclosed when giving his speech at the event.
Last year Ycee released four singles and two videos. He collaborated reggae-dancehall sensation, Patoranking on ‘Condo’ in May 2015.
In July 2015, the Tinny Entertainment artist released his single ‘Jagaban’, which was produced by D’Will. The song has since become a hit track. Following this success, he released a remix for the street anthem, which features YBNL rapper Olamide.
He most recent track 'Omo Alhaji' was debuted in November 2015.
Ycee whose real name is Oludemilade Martin Alejo first stepped into the music scene in 2012.
