The 2016 State of the Union address was delivered on Wednesday, January 13th and the first lady of the US Opted for a wool crepe, sleeveless midi dress in dazzling marigold, she stood out from everyone without being overwhelming.
The dress had sold out by the end of the evening on Neiman Marcus’ website, where it had been priced at $628.

Her dress, which was designed by Narciso Rodriguez, represented a number of national issues. Its creator, Narciso Rodriguez, is a significant American fashion designer who is also a married gay man and the son of immigrants who fled Cuba to find a better place in the US.
The First Lady also wore a dress by Rodriguez for election night in 2008. Wearing a dress by Rodriguez reflects on the immigration and equal rights issues in America, which Obama’s administration has endorsed.
