Show creator is creating a 'Romeo and Juliet' sequel for ABC

Shonda Rhimes has bagged her 7th ABC TV deal, and it's based on the popular love story 'Romeo and Juliet.'

Just like you, ABC just can't get enough of the popular show creator Shonda Rhimes, who has bagged her 7th ABC TV deal.

Her latest TV deal which is titled 'Still Star-Crossed,' will kick off from where the tragic love story, 'Romeo and Juliet,' ended.

The upcoming sequel will be executive produced by Rhimes and Betsy Beers.

 

Based on Melinda Taub’s 2013 book of same name, 'Still Star-Crossed'' follows the conflicts between the Capulets and Montagues that arise after Romeo and Juliet’s deaths.

ABC recently picked up a divorce comedy drama titled 'Spitsville,' and an unnamed nun drama from Shonda.

Another of her upcoming show 'The Catch,' which stars  Mireille Enos and Peter Krause, is set for a mid-season premiere.
