Robbie Paxton did the unthinkable by proposing to his girlfriend on the front page on a a newspaper on Friday.
The love-struck man wanted to get the attention of his longtime
girlfriend by placing an advert on a newspaper front page to propose to
her. He then waited seven minutes - he described as the longest seven
minutes of his life - for his girlfriend to notice.
After waiting for so long, the 50-year-old Canton man says he was
making breakfast and wondering why Troyer wasn't saying anything after
he set out the paper and her morning coffee. He then decided to ask her
if she hasn't seen the proposal on the Repository when she shouted a
resounding "yes!"
Paxton recalls that the 49-year-old Troyer was thrown off guard
especially because she always reads the ads inside before looking at the
rest of the paper. The duo called those moments the best of their
lives. Paxton was overjoyed and watched her thrilled girlfriend, Tina
Troyer blush and giggle.
