In response to the agitation from many residents of Oyo state, Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi yesterday assured the people of the state that proper local government election early next year be conducted.
The governor against the insinuation that he refused to conduct council election throughout his first term in office because he was afraid some opposition parties might win some of the councils and create problem for his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), disclosed that some caretaker chairmen would be appointed in December to oversee the local government councils.
