The family of a 16-year old were dealt a deadly blow after bandits who killed and beheaded their son sent them the boy's head.

The family of a 16-year-old Tunisian shepherd are in deep mourning after bandits beheaded the young boy and sent his head with a child who was with with him to his family members.
Newspapers said the two boys were with their sheep in the rugged area near their village in Central Tunisia when they were topped by bandits. They quoted police sources as saying the bandits beheaded the teenager and kept the younger boy alive.
“They sent the head of the boy to his family with the younger boy without giving him any message,” a police source said.
Newspapers said police mounted a massive operation in search for the bandits but they made no mention of their identity or say why they killed the boy.
